The function of an ornament

Unlike 'top down' or 'bottoms up'' desing process where either with the method of sub-division or by means of repetiton forms are manipulated,reverse or inter-referential systems of design where functions are coded in smaller components to achieve desired 'AFFECT' on society/people not to arrive at just an aesthetic object. Another way is to start configuring functions into desired components then then put them in a transverse systems to achieve multiple iterations.
